Famous Tourist Places in Ayodhya

Ayodhya, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, is a city of great historical and religious significance, particularly for Hindus. It is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama and holds a prominent place in the epic Ramayana. Some of the famous places to visit in Ayodhya include:

 Ram Janmabhoomi – Considered the birthplace of Lord Rama. The site where a grand temple is being constructed.

  Hanuman Garhi – A famous temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Located on a hill, with a 76-step climb to reach the temple.

 Kanak Bhawan – A palace gifted to Sita by Queen Kaikeyi after her marriage to Lord Rama. The temple houses beautiful idols of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita.

 Saryu River and Ram Ki Paidi – The banks of the Saryu River are a sacred spot for devotees. Ram Ki Paidi is a series of bathing ghats constructed on the banks of the river.

Treta Ke Thakur – A temple where Lord Rama is believed to have performed the Ashwamedha Yagna. The temple houses statues of Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Bharat, and Shatrughna.

 Nageshwarnath Temple – Built by Lord Rama’s son, Kush, in honor of Lord Shiva. One of the oldest temples in Ayodhya.

 Dashrath Mahal – Believed to be the original palace of King Dashrath, Lord Rama’s father. Now a temple, it attracts devotees from all over the world.

 Guptar Ghat – Located on the banks of the Saryu River. Believed to be the place where Lord Rama took Jal Samadhi (merged into the waters).

 Mani Parvat – A small hill believed to have been brought by Lord Hanuman during the war with Ravana. Offers a panoramic view of the city.

Tulsi Smarak Bhavan – Dedicated to the poet Goswami Tulsidas, who authored the Ramcharitmanas. It has a library, museum, and cultural center dedicated to Lord Rama.
